Information for Year 6 Parents
Dear Year 6 Parents,
I would like to invite you to our upcoming Year 6 Parents' Information Evening. This is a fantastic opportunity for you to discover what makes Sandhurst School a vibrant and supportive community where students flourish.
We believe that a smooth and well-informed transition from primary to secondary school is vital for a child's success. At this event, you will have the chance to meet our dedicated staff and hear a presentation from our Senior Leadership Team and Students, and gain a deeper insight into our curriculum, pastoral support, and the wide range of extra-curricular opportunities we offer.
We are delighted to celebrate significantly improved exam results this year. These results not only validate the incredibly positive OFSTED report we received following the Inspection in December 2024. This success is a testament to the strong partnership between our staff, students, and their families.
The percentage of students who are achieving a grade 5 or higher:

As part of our commitment to student well-being, we have further increased our capacity to support students. There has been a significant investment in our SEND facilities, an increased number of specialist staff to support mental health and we are pleased to be working in partnership with the NHS via their MHST (Mental Health Support Team). On top of this we are excited to announce that we are in a position to provide additional support for service children. This will provide tailored support for military families.
Our Open Evening will be on Thursday 25th September between 6:00pm and 8:00pm which we warmly welcome you to.
The Year 6 Parents' Information Evening will be held on Thursday 18 September 2025 at 5:00pm.
